Unknown to newer players wards give you a great advantage by giving you vision on your enemies. This can help massively during a game as it helps prevent ganks from enemies and also gives you vision of important objectives.

This helps your team know when the enemy is trying to take the baron or dragon. If you really want to improve as a player then learning one champion inside out is crucial.

By learning a champion inside out it allows you to focus on the potential matchups and item builds for that champion. Having an extremely in-depth knowledge of a champion can make you as a player and is better than having an average knowledge of 50 champions.

Now it might find you a while to find a champion you can enjoy playing constantly but after a while, you should find the perfect match for you.

There are plenty of benefits of playing ARAM and it can actually make you a better player. How so you may ask? Well for starters the games are much faster and usually last around 20 minutes, 30 minutes can be considered a fairly long game.

This is a good thing as it allows you to finish games faster and get onto the next one with new players and new champions to play with.

This makes ARAM a great game mode for practising! The game mode also forces you to play champions you would never necessarily pick, who knows you might end up finding your next main role!

If you want to practise a champion as well as team fighting then ARAM is definitely the place to do it! Have you ever joined a game and then noticed your ping is super high and causing you a lot of trouble?

By checking your ping before you decide to join a ranked game you can avoid the terrible situation of lagging, letting your team down and almost certainly losing the game.

Using a website such as Speedtest. It could be that some program is automatically downloading in the background and causing your internet to be slow.

Last hitting is an important skill in League of Legends and can make all the difference when in lane. The best way to learn how to last hit is through practice!

If you want to practise your last hitting then the best way is to practise in a bot game. By doing this you can learn the basics on how to improve your last hits such as visualising how much health an auto attack will do to a minion.

Once you have a very high CS rate you can start to practise more in normal games against real players to see how well you can perform under pressure.

Swapping to unranked games or playing a different game altogether can be a great way to break out of a losing streak. A great instant tip to improve your win rate in League of Legends is to play with a friend, or as many friends as possible.

How many times have you joined a game and someone is AFK or constantly flaming? By playing with somebody you know you instantly reduce the chances of this happening.

In addition to this if you know the person well then you can communicate with them easier using voice communication.

But after all would you rather play with some random strangers or your friends? This is seriously negative for two reasons; The first is that when you blame someone else, they will probably spend their time arguing with you.

In essence, arguing with someone takes the game from a 5v5 to a 5v4, or worse. In some players cases, simply seeing someone moan is enough to ruin their morale, so think before you type.

If this Jungler ganked more it would be GG already. Try to watch for one specific thing; How could I improve my last hitting, how can I position better, am I rotating at the right time?

Perhaps you should have flashed sooner, or maybe your map awareness was off because you were having a row with the Jungler.

In League of Legends, the meta can change every patch update. An item that was really strong before might have been nerfed and is now weak.

Learning the meta and keeping up to date with it is important if you want to know how to counter it.

To research the meta for a certain champion or role be sure to check out the following websites:. These websites bring you the latest match results from thousands of players all over the world, including pro players.

This website allows you to inspect their item build and summoners spells. If you really want to improve your game in League of Legends then you need to study.

There are countless League of Legends guides on the internet written by many professional players that are full of tips and advice. A few good places to find League of Legends guides are:.

They contain plenty of general guides as well as specific individual champion guides with some written by professional LoL players!

League of Legends is a game that continually evolves with updates. Riot is always looking to improve the game and in order to do this, some changes need to be made.

These changes can be anything from mastery or runes reworks to individual champions getting the makeover treatment.

A good website that keeps up to date with the latest champion changes is Nerf Please. Be sure to check their website after every patch to see which champions have been buffed or nerfed.

If a popular champion gets nerfed or reworked then a lot of people might decide to stop playing them in game as they are not seen as strong anymore.

This means players will look to swap preferences to a stronger champion. Learning the meta is important if you want to stay one step ahead of your competition.

You need to take objectives in order to win a game. Deciding when to take a tower and push the lane or recall back to base can be a tough decision.

Do you take the tower and get the gold but make yourself more vulnerable to ganks or do you leave the minions to die to the tower and deny them gold while you recall?

Are you winning the lane comfortably or are you losing? Is your jungler doing a good job and communicating or are they nowhere to be seen?

Knowing when to take objectives can be a real game-changer, telling your team to do baron with the enemy team still alive is not the best idea.

When someone on your team makes a bad play you should really think twice before you start flaming them. Saying something bad to them can really annoy a lot of players and make them tilt, troll or just generally play worse overall.

To stop this from happening in your game, try to only say positive things and stay away from negative criticisms.

If you really want to improve yourself as a player then reviewing your matches can be an incredibly valuable tool. Not only does reviewing your past games help you understand where you went wrong but can also help you see how you can improve.

By reviewing your plays and strategy of every match you can start to work out what needs improvement and what worked well.

Tip Try to always keep a Yordle Snap Trap w in your lane brushes when possible, this helps catch any sneaky yordles coming to gank you.

Dat auto-q harass. Tip Harass effectively by using an auto into a Phosphurus Bomb. Tip Ezreal is an extremely safe blind pick because he basically has no counters and he works with a lot of supports.

He is also a very safe laner due to his long range Mystic Shot and his mobility makes him very safe in teamfights.

Tip Graves gets rewarded for getting up in his opponents grill, he works well with bursty all-in supports like Leona, Alistar and Taric.

Tip Smokescreen the enemy carries in teamfights as they may get scared and back off instead of following their team.

Tip Each of Living Artilleries r cost 40 additional mana if you use them within 6 seconds of the previous one.

Tip MF has very good all-in and poke in lane but her weakness is a lack of mobility with her passive down and a medium range. Tip On the opposite note, you can also build on-hit items for hilarious results because of her Impure Shots w ability.

Not recommended to use his ult for towers. Tip Make sure you learn Expunges range, if you leave it too late to use it they might be out of range when you do and slip away.

Tip When playing against Tristana, stay away from the exploding minions if you can to avoid unneeded harass.

Tip Tristana trades decently with auto-e harass, make sure to use it whenever the enemy AD gets in range then back off. Tip Last hitting with Trist under tower early is very tough, try pushing against her early if you can.

Tip Hybrid pen marks are extremely effective on Trist due the mixed damage she deals early on. If you time it well you can swap yourself in to a teamfight with a Soraka heal for insane amounts of Resists!

Ugh, these jokes, Urgot to be kidding me…. Tip You can build Varus several ways and depending on how you build him you should consider maxing different skills.

Tip Despite the magic damage Varus deals, hybrid pen marks are not very effective on him as his q and e deal physical damage.

ArPen or Flat AD would be the better choices.

Not especially viable because she needs MPen and tankiness, but hilarious. I just bought elise and started playing her, and pushing towers was the one thing that surprised me.

It's insane. I've taken down towers in seconds before. I find that it's not too advisable to build that way because her base values are high and she REALLY needs tankiness, but on the occasions that I've done as you said you are exactly right.

It's incredible. As I said, the fact that that's in melee form makes it WAY too risky. Even a good tanky initiator Elise will rarely be able to use that to full effect mid-late game, except on towers.

I've only played Ezreal free week, but when I played him, I had trouble having and keeping his passive up when I wanted it, since it requires not just continually casting spells, but actually hitting things with them, and you have to keep it up at a decent pace or you'll lose your stacks.

Of course, it's entirely possible that I was just derping as free week Ezreal. Even if your Q hits a minion instead of a champion, or if your W hits an ally buffing their AS , you refresh your stack.

It's easy to stack to 5 if you ult early in a fight, especially if that ult is down the middle of a lane or in some other direction where it will eventually hit creeps.

Even if it was only for a few seconds it would be pretty solid. His passive is more for teamfights, really. You'll burn through your mana if you keep it stacked up in lane, and it's not really worth it.

Pretty much, yes, especially with all this cdr that today's ezreal players build. Ofc that scenario is the wet dream of any ezreal player but still you get the deal, right?

It's mana intensive mostly. Otherwise keeping it up is just getting into the habit of constantly casting your Q.

In this case I will q a minion the instant the q comes up to keep my passive going. When I am about to all in somebody in the laning phase.

Normally I will have my ult at this point, but I wait to use it until I can hit enough minions AND the enemy adc to bring it to 5 stacks.

When a teamfight is about to go down, i'll normally try and go somewhere they can't see me and hit as many as I can with my ult before my team goes in.

If it isn't fully stacked at that point just q someone or w your team if it's later in the game and you actually have your w. Also, if you want to fight someone early, as long as you are sure you can win the trade you can e-q right in their face to get up to 2 stacks already.

Just make sure you don't need the e to escape. Corki's early laning is a tad better, but Vayne can merc Corki at 6 if she dodges a couple of missiles quite easily.

Vayne can't kill a Corki same skill level 6. It all breaks down how aggressive you are, you can fuck it with Corki if you stand back and farm safely allowing the same thing to Vayne but you can get fed from her or just snowball in levels so hard.

I think not. I was playing ARAM and had corki. I used my phos bomb on I believe Shaco right before he stealthed and he wasn't revealed.

I'm not sure but i think that you can see vayne in stealth if you hit her with q before she tumbles. TIP Right-clicking an enemy champion enables you to attack them, which lowers their total current health.

TIP To know which side is right, look at your hand. If the thumb is on the left side it's your right hand.

TIP Then you're screwed. LoL does not have a backswing animation, does not have orbs and has very little animation cancelling so orbwalking is a very big misnomer, especially if you come from dota.

I hate when people use orbwalking when they mean stutter step, they are different and the terms are not interchangable.

You aren't wrong. However, it's been called that in League for years, everyone will keep calling it that, it sounds catchier, so that will stay what it's called.

Attack moving, as an ADC you attack and move then attack instead of just attacking. This allows you to chase and catch up while doing damage at the same time.

That's what Stutter Stepping sometimes known as Orbwalking is. Attack moving is when you press A and then left click at a location; your champion will move toward the target location and attack the closest hostile enemy it encounters along the way.

If you cancel an attack during swing time you canceled the auto attack and got nothing out of it. Your aim is to cancel auto attack when the projectile is out.

This means you will get the auto attack off, but you wont have the cooldown stun. Right click to Auto attack, once projectile is out.

Right click back to where you were moving, auto auto attack again once the cooldown is off. If you cancel the auto attack by right clicking once the projectile is out you can run way further without taking damage.

You don't do normal auto attacks but rather activate your attack modifier ashes Q for example and klick on your opponent, this causes you to make 1 auto attack with the modifier on the target, and, since it was counted as a "spell" in dota the creeps won't attack you this is NOT possible in league.

Not true at all You can't say something like always in LoL. There are way too many factors You are owning hard bot? Keep the laningphase as long as possible to deny them the farm.

Why would you want to destroy the tower in this case? Well, it happens from time to time in platin, can't judge from another league.

Laneswitches still can give you a huge advantage if you do them right. No, I can't stress this enough, always take tower.

A tower you give an instant gold and a huge to bonus to map control. Tower is safe and instant , whilst letting the tower stand, can give you more gold in the long run if you kill them atleast two times or deny them lots of cs cause the tower ist down , but the map pressure is the thing which makes it worth nearly all the time.

If you have lead keep moving forward into lategame. If you keep tower the enemy will eventually catch up and may cost you the game.

But what if your team is losing somewhere else, even if you buttrape the enemy bot lane you must take tower to give your team some gold and go help elsewhere.

Always kill tower if you can. If they do come, then you're probably stronger than them at that point in time and can force some kind of fight.

Nah for certain ad's that want to scale well into late game and generally need a long laning phase, keeping the tower up to extending the time where you can hit you power spike before teamfighting is alot safer in solo queue.

Maybe if you are diamond it is best to take objectives as your team may better understand how to snowball the game than lower elos.

Carries that scale hard into late generally arent very strong in laning phase and arent put into position to take the towers.

Usually theyre the ones being shoved into their turret. Even then if I had the chance to take a turret I will always do it.

If you take the tower asap, the enemy can and should freeze it in a good spot to deny xp and gold.. You can then get map control, roam, get other turrets, or just ward accordingly and start pushing the second tower.

The majority of professional and high level players who are IN diamond and challenger and many players even from platinum down will agree that taking tower is a better option.

Why you may ask? Well this is how the "lead" you have diminishes by leaving the tower up.

If you do NOT take the tower and instead try to bully the enemy instead, the enemy will continue to cs as you do and your lead will have the same distance from where they are.

As well as keeping their tower up also keeps map pressure up from the enemy team. If you destroy the tower and continue pushing lane then 1 of 2 things will happen.

This is good because then map pressure is relieved from your teammates who can then push and take other obbjectives.

Taking a tower gives global g to your entire team. If event 1 happens then the odds of your team taking another tower in the near future are high.

If two towers are taken from the enemy that gives your team a gold advantage. Most people in low elo don't understand the importance of pushing objectives and winning the game early.

So in response to your statement yes, you may deny them out of farm in the short term but taking a tower yeilds bigger rewards to your team as a whole and since it is a 5v5 game and not a Botlane v 5 game then you need to think about how your team as a whole will benefit from objective control and not just your lane.

I'm in bronze and I see a laneswap on a daily basis. Soloq, if someone's getting shat on and there's a teammate who can perform in both lanes and is doing well in their lane and the person who needs out can perform in their lane , then we switch to put the fed vs the fed and give the shut down teammate a chance to get back in it.

I am both excited and nervous for what the eventual rework will bring. I'm all for new artwork, but playing Sivir just feels good. If they are able to maintain that feeling, they can do whatever the hell they want.

You skip over a lot of general teachings about ADC and just throw a ton of random facts about the different ADC champs. IIRC it's still orange.

I play with color blind mode, but I can't remember noticing any change of highlight color. This is a really good trick for if you are going through the jungle and can see if the enemy has a ward there.

I can usually tell when someone is going for me when they walk towards me or I got hit in the face. Never noticed the line. When an enemy right-clicks onto you, they have a yellow or orange border around them.

By noticing that you can see that they are focusing you or want to make and auto-attack on you. It really depends heavily on how the game had unfolded.

If you took an 8 minute bot turret followed by drake, recalled, pushed mid as four people and then proceeded to group and force objectives, you won't have much farm.

On the other hand, if the laning phase extended to 15 minutes, your CS will be higher than in the first scenario. I remember going to a Brisbane LAN and you guys absolutely crushed everyone.

I wasn't even aware that there were Diamond players in Australia. Hopefully with OCE servers up now you guys can get yourselves out more :D.

She is strong due to her having high range, and able to attack from affar with w, as well as slow with her q and show spots with e, with an ultimate that stuns.

To be honest, a lot of these tips are just would you know facts and not tips to make you better I like your post, but this part seemed very repetitive.

You don't need to include that it's warded more than once. What's the orange line around enemy champion when they target you?

I've played this game for over a year now and I've never noticed it. Does anyone have a screenshot? I've seen you duo bot with your brother.

Does he main support as you main adc? It was a good display of botmechanics. Honestly, this list is terrible. There are some tips that are actually useful Err, sir, Corki's Q doesn't show stealthed units I believe.

In the tooltip it says " Does not include stealthed units ". If I don't say it's a joke, I get people telling me "that's not a tip durrr hurrr".

If I do say it's a joke I get sarcasm. These aren't tips for being better at adc so much as they are tips for being better at certain adcs.

Wasn't expecting a guide on how to play Corki. This is the minimum flash cooldown for people that go 7 utility.

Mages, supports, a surprising number of ADs. Is this true? I want to know because I bought hybrid pen marks but can't really find a good application for it.

Try to use it on nearly every m dmg champion that uses AA. Annie, TF, Orianna. I use it on evveryone tbh.

I've only been using it on jungle Evelynn so far. I would use it on Kennen and Orianna, but I don't play mid and top. I main AD so knowing that trist uses hybrid pen runes with great succes would be very nice.

Yeah hybrid pen marks are really efficient on AP mid that AA a lot. There is some top players using it on APs mid.

On Tristana it is effective if you can get a big early advantage from it I've even see people starting doran ring on her. Otherwise you want to keep dmg runes to CS better or arpen rune to deal more dmg througout.

A tip for Quinn players, she actually does quite well against draven because you can vault to him after he throws his Q and make him miss it, allowing you to outtrade him until it comes back up.

As someone who mains adc I did enjoy looking over these tips. I eventually want to make my way around to main every adc. Though you should of removed some of these jokes with actual tips on the adcs you didn't say a word about like ashe and sivir.
